Another day, another Macmillan booklet in the post. In fact, three of them plus an extra mini-booklet that I didn't ask for.
Perhaps I should explain to non-UK people that Macmillan is the largest cancer charity in the UK. I'm not sure if its reach extends any further. https://www.macmillan.org.uk/
No radiotherapy today or tomorrow, back on Monday. No side-effects either.

A story on my Monday morning news concerned some cancer medications being newly listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme under which OAPs pay $6.50 per script (~£3.50, $US4.35 at current rates)regardless of its real cost. I wondered whether something similar operates under the NHS and if so whether MGFI's medications are covered.
ReplyDeleteThe current NHS prescription charge is 9 GBP per item, or you can buy a Prepayment Certificate for 104 GBP which lasts a year. There are many exemptions, including OAPs who pay nothing. My private health insurance will (or should!) cover the costs of private prescriptions.
